For some reason wood burning didnt work - there was some kind of residue or sap in the wood that became apparent when I tried burning it, that made it unusable. But I tried on another piece and vinyl worked great with a matt paint finish. Thanks guys, I'll be buying more (just not for burning!)
I've been looking everywhere for a slice of wood they are either too small or too dear & without having to go out in the bush & cut a tree down to get my slice of wood myself I'm over the moon cause its a nice size & the right price I'll be definetely doing business with them again

Order a round 14 inch x 13 inch for a Rustic Wedding Cake Base and after a light sanding, and 2 coats of Varnish, the base came up trumps and pleased the Bride. She also was glowing about the cake my wife had made for their occasion.

Our daughter purchased a box of 100 seconds and they were great for seconds, 100% usable. We ordered 2 boxes of the same and 50% of them were not usable. I know they were seconds but would expect a similar quality from the same product ordered. Not happy for the amount of waste. Some were up to 14cm. The discolouration was really bad.
